quarantine

Quarantine is an oil on panel series that captures the supportive people and serene places surrounding me during an unpredictable and isolating time. I felt very fortunate to spend my time in quarantine in a place with easy access to the outdoors, which is where I spent the majority of my time. My process for creating these paintings involved building up many layers of oil paint and then scraping these layers away to bring about intricate details and recognizable images of my family members and landscape scenery.
